Prefunct

Last night, I was informed that I am now something like president-elect of Alpha Eta Mu, the LeTourneau chapter of Sigma Tau Delta.
My first act as president shall be to find us some members.
My next act shall be to sign a free trade and mutual defense agreement with the LeTourneau chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, which does not, in actuality, exist.

I don't know how he became president-elect, but I assume democracy was involved.
So, yes, Wilson . . . please do start by letting Dr. Solganick know that there aren't any actual English major upperclassmen at this school that have a GPA higher than 3.8. I'll slide right in the door as soon as they actually open it.

Nope, no PAT (is it PAT? I hate Greek!) But you might want to sign a treaty with the Webb Society really quick before we declare war upon you for going AWOL, or maybe dereliction of duty, and then establishing your own sovereignty! I think all that is spelled right. I'm not English major. Anyhow, just found out you had a blog from Jenny Howard and she pointed out this particular post to me, which let the pieces fall together as to why you aren't in Webb Society. I think we should merge and allow dual membership, since most people are HIPL/ENGL majors anyways.

Dear me. Militant history majors? More stodginess and less relevance, please! The engineers are getting nervous.
I apologize for failing to communicate more clearly with you my reasons for declining membership in Webb. I should have made an effort to explain the situation. Actually, I was more concerned about what it would do to my weekend schedule, although I did know some time ago that a Sigma Tau Delta leadership position would probably fall to me. I would love to join the Webb Society, but I don't want to make a commitment I won't follow through on properly.
Personally, I would like to have some sort of umbrella humanities organization on campus; combining fields might allow us to find enough students to, you know, buy some stationery or something.

If I may suggest, establishing democracy should be also be high on your priority list.
