That Colditz feeling

Ship of Fools' correspondent reports from behind the barbed wire of a Christian camp in Britain.

Five minutes, and several pints of tears later, she's ready to start. This explanation sets the tone of the seminar, which alternates between flicking through the Bible, looking at all the nice things God says about women (but only if they're friendly, supportive, quiet and holy), and tears as she describes how much she really just loves her daughter and so how much God really just loves her, and us.
Disenchanted with the women's seminar, our reporter crashes the men's seminars.
On the plus side, we (the men and myself) all get warrior badges, as a mark that we've learnt how to be warriors. I prove my credentials by arguing with the stewards over whether I should have one, as I wasn't a man. I won, and am now the proud possessor of a warrior badge.
