New Victim

Cynic: it's time for Cynic's awkward, off-color joke to diffuse the tension and get him hit so everyone can snap out of it
Mom Hoyt: Wait! I have kids in the room!

Now, this was NOT what it sounds like...."sigh"(puts Cynic at top of prayer list....no wait, puts Anna first, THEN Cynic) *self-satisfied grin*

I thought your verse in the heading should include I Tim. 2:5-8 considering what your wife has to put up with. Or is your blog only for the "weaker vessel" and therefore does not apply to us men.

Sorry. Not wife but friend. I peck at the keyboard. And not well.

1) So what you're saying is that the terms wife and friend are mutually exclusive?

2) Pecking at the keyboard can cause the words "wife" and "friend" to become interposed?

3) You're probably right on the 1 Tim 2:5-8 bit. I might just have to include that in there when a wedding officially enters into the picture.

4) Not sure who the blog applies to. Maybe nobody...

5) I think teasing Hoyts ought to turn into a regularly scheduled segment on my blog.

1. Yes, absolutely. Call your wife "friend" in a crowded room and see if you don't duck. On the hand call any friend not your wife "wife" and duck likewise.

2. Certainly. A mind that works 2 or 3 orders faster than ones hands can easily get those transposed.

3. So, until the blessed event, it does not matter how one presents himself.

4. Ah. Nobody but the general public. And I thought all blogs were a means of presenting ones image and thoughts beyond ones self.

5. Careful, I might set The Little Wench, otherwise known as the knife-yielding Forum Monarch, upon you.
