A Trend
You know you've been buying the right things when Amazon.com notifies you via e-mail of the availability of Slavery, Family, and Gentry Capitalism in the British Atlantic: The World of the Lascelles, 1648-1834 (Cambridge Studies in Economic History - Second Series)
That is all.
Posted by Jared at July 23, 2006 06:23 PM | TrackBackThat list is so...so....limited!! broaden your horizons man, quickly, before your mind stagnates into a mire of yuckiness and ewwiness that only knows its muddy little backyard, and little else beyond its shortsighted nose! Branch out into the cosmos of fiction, and stuff other than the south!! I thought I was the one-track mind person...I am truly scared for this world....
Posted by: Uncle Doug at July 25, 2006 10:33 PMNever mind him. He's just jealous because you get all the sexy books.
Posted by: Wilson at July 26, 2006 10:56 AMShut up, Uncle Doug. We all know Jared reads enough fiction. More academic books never hurt anyone and pretty much always help broaden perspective. Go read one yourself.
Posted by: Vengeful Cynic at July 26, 2006 04:09 PMNot related to this post: I noticed you finally saw American Movie! Woooot! "It's alright! It's ok! There's something to live for! Jesus told me so!" *sigh* Now I need to go see it again...
Posted by: Andy at August 1, 2006 11:52 AMHey Doug, ask Jared to send you a copy of his booklist, haha!
Posted by: Andy at August 1, 2006 11:53 AMhmmm.... what are my recommended books? Topology, Counterexamples in Analysis, Topology from the Differentiable Viewpoint, Riemannian Geometry, Old Testament Survey. ... looks like I could use some more variety. :(
