Time is abundant. For once.

Tomorrow I have three classes for a total of just under five hours in class. I only have homework for two of them, but I've already finished that. No point in starting my homework for Thursday; after all, I want to maintain some semblance of college norms. I figure most of this will change when I have tests to study for and projects to complete, but for now, I am free. Even next week, I'm beginning a "tutoring" session (essentially a TI session, except that it goes on my grading timecard) for Baas' data structures students next Monday, and I will hopefully be getting a reply from the guy I'm supposed to be tutoring one-on-one sometime soon. But I suppose I'll go ahead and go through my schedule for the benefit of those who care.

  • Operating Systems (MWF, 8:15). This class is probably going to be one of the easiest, but also the most annoying. See, Dr. Anderson isn't really giving us lectures, but we have quizzes most every class. Essentially, the class is only 20-30 minutes long because he lets us out after the quizzes are finished, so getting up at 8:15 for essentially nothing is going to be a pain.
  • Physics II (MWF, 11:20). (Sung, to a random tune I haven't quite developed yet.)
CAPA hates me, and wants me to die,
But I hate it, so that's alright.
Oh, CAPA hates me, and wants me to die,
But I hate it, so everything's fine.
'Nuff said. Almost. The class should be interesting, but difficult. My lab is with Ruby at 2:35 on Wednesdays. Lecture with Dr. Forringer.
  • American Lit I (TTh, 9:30). Should be an entertaining class with Wheeler and Randy in there. I think I'm one of three technical majors in the class. Exciting.
  • Abstract Algebra (TTh, 1:30). Another interesting class, but life would be much better if King could explain the concepts better. Right now, it hasn't affected much, because it's simple set theory and such, which I had encountered elsewhere, but I see a bad trend here.
  • Greek Manuscripts (T, 4:30). This is a seminar class, so it shouldn't be much work. Looks like lots of reading and lots of fun. Dr. Hood is all kinds of amusing.
  • World Lit through Film (Th, 6:00). This is the most entertaining class I'll have this semester. Lots of SC faces, Dr. Solganik, and lots and lots of movies. Who could ask for a better combination? Also doesn't look like too much work.
  • Tutorial sessions (M, 7:00). I have no idea how these are going to work. All I know is that I'm supposed to show up at LH 131 at 7 pm and explain stuff to the data structures students. No, I don't know what 'stuff' is, exactly.

I think it looks like an entertaining set of classes. Not to mention that I am an official denizen of the Ice Cave. Much fun to be had here. Come down and join us. We have blankets, courtesy of Wilson's mother.
