Mawwiage.

The Shadow Council would like to announce the engagement of two of its own!

We congratulate Anna and the Cynic, wishing them all the best. If there's hope for that particular man . . . .

Anyway, the Cynic seems to have popped the question . . . or did he? . . . in the airport on Thursday.

Merry Christmas indeed. May you both grow to love each other only more deeply as time goes by.

And may their happiness be shown in bountiful cookies and such!
Congratulations!

Brilliant! Bloody Marvelous!

I'll drink a glass of something or other in your honor. Cheers.

stop it you two! y'all are too cute! your schmoopy-ness is rubbing off on the rest of us, or at least melby and i...but i'm most certainly very happy for the both of you! God's blessings on your forth-coming marriage, and see y'all in january!

That should be "Melby and me," Paige -- me being an object here.

There is no hyphen in forthcoming.

There should be a comma between "stop it" and "you two"; this is direct address.

I'm just going to ignore the pointless lack of capitalization.

English majors. Honestly.

Hey! I resemble that remark, Wilson!

Oh, and thanks for filling in for me in the GG role; I appreciate some help every now and then.

oh pooh, ruining all my fun...*sticks out tongue*
grrr. *glares* hmph. *sigh* (can you tell i'm bored?) leave the poor hapless english major alone...

Paige, you can't keep pulling the English major excuse . . . you'll give us all a bad name. If you must resort to such tactics, do what I do and claim to be a literature major or something.

*Calmly launches grammar jihad*

Hmmm . . . Too late.

Theory #1: Paige is "hapless" (adj: luckless, unfortunate, deserving of pity) because the Shift key on her keyboard doesn't work, and that is why she can't capitalize her letters.
Problem: Without the Shift key, she couldn't make asterisks ("*") or parentheses ("(",")"), either.

Theory #2: She seems to assume that being an English major gives her the right to flout the rules of proper writing; perhaps this is the result of a repressed inferiority complex. This complex manifests itself in desperate attempts to exert authority over anything it can (in this case, the English language). This theory is further supported by her own admission that deviating from established norms is "fun" for her.
Problem: In person, Paige doesn't show the same signs of megalomaniacal control-freak-ism (in general). Why should the "controlling impulse" be limited to the online world?

Theory #3: Several months ago, Paige was abducted by aliens and subjected to a series of grueling and invasive experiments. Upon the completion of these "projects," the aliens implanted a mind-controlling nano-virus in her brain, thus rendering her mind weakened, confused, and incapable of proper grammatical performance.
Problem: Maybe I've been watching too much Stargate...

Theory #4: Laziness.

Conclusion: Unless Paige has, in fact, been abducted by aliens (or otherwise mentally reprogrammed), there is no good reason for such lax writing habits.
